🦖 A Dinosaur Science Lesson!

Our little scientists took a giant step back in time—over 65 million years ago! Our Dinosaur Science lesson was a roaring success, filled with fascinating discoveries, real scientific exploration, and even a real-life reptile encounter!

🌱 How Dinosaurs Hatched

We began our prehistoric journey by learning how dinosaurs hatched from eggs. Through engaging stories and interactive visuals, the children explored what nests looked like, how dino parents cared for their young, and how fossilised eggs give us clues about these ancient creatures. The wonder in their eyes as they imagined baby dinosaurs breaking out of their shells was priceless!

🦕 Meet the Dinosaurs

From towering herbivores like Brachiosaurus to fierce predators like Tyrannosaurus Rex, the children learned about different types of dinosaurs—their diets, features, and habitats. Our young learners asked brilliant questions and eagerly shared their favourites (with Velociraptor and Triceratops coming out as clear crowd-pleasers!).

🔍 Paleontologists at Work

Then came the hands-on adventure: it was time to become real paleontologists! Our budding scientists dug through sand pits to find hidden “fossils,” carefully brushing and uncovering bones and shells. Once the excavation was done, they matched their fossils to the correct dinosaur, using charts and clues just like experts in the field. It was a beautiful mix of play and scientific thinking!

🐍 A Slithery Surprise – Meet the Ancestor!

The highlight of the day? Meeting a real corn snake! With guidance from a specialist handler, children had the chance to gently touch and observe this incredible reptile up close. We talked about how reptiles like snakes are distant relatives of dinosaurs—living reminders of an ancient world. It was a thrilling and unforgettable experience for many of our learners.
